Remove the vocals from a song
Pick a song and that is it. You get one track with just the instrumental and one with just the vocals.
The first time takes a little longer. Use Wi-Fi if you can.
Keep this page open until it finishes.

DownloadVocals only
DownloadHow to use it
- Choose a song from your phone or computer.
- Tap "Remove the vocals" and wait. It usually takes a few seconds.
- Listen to the two tracks and download the one you want.
What people use it for
- Karaoke at home. The track without vocals becomes the backing track, with the original arrangement.
- Learning to sing. Hearing only the voice makes it easier to pick up the melody, the breathing and the singer's details.
- Covers for social media. Sing over the real instrumental of the song and record it.
- Playing along. Without the vocals, the guitar, piano or keys are easier to hear and follow.
- Remixes and production. The isolated vocal, the acapella, becomes material for remixes, mashups and samples.
- Classes and presentations. Music and language teachers use the instrumental for the class to sing, or the vocal alone for ear training.
Tips for a better result
- Use the best file you have. A WAV or a good MP3 separates better than audio already squeezed by a messaging app.
- Studio songs come out cleaner. Live recordings, with crowd noise and stage echo, blend the voice with everything else.
- Computers get the better model. On a computer the page uses a bigger model that separates more carefully. On phones it uses a light one that fits in memory.
- A little voice left over? Lowering the instrumental a bit already hides most of it for karaoke.
What to expect
The separation is done by an AI model that learned what a voice sounds like. It is not perfect: in very busy songs a little voice can stay in the instrumental, and a little instrument in the vocal.
Backing vocals and choirs usually go with the lead vocal. Effects like echo and reverb are sometimes split between the two tracks.
Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no trial, and no limit on how many songs you do.
Does my music go to a server?
No. The song is read and separated on your own device. That is why it also works for music you would not want to send anywhere.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. On phones and tablets the page uses a lighter model that finishes fast and fits in the memory of the device.
Which files can I use?
MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG and FLAC. The result comes out as WAV.
Does it come out perfect?
It depends on the song. Clean recordings come out better. In very busy songs a little bit of the voice can be left behind.
