Tips for a better result
- 01Even out the volume first.
If one file is much quieter, use "Even out the volume" on it before merging.
- 02Use "Smooth" for music.
The transition hides the jump between songs. For speech, "Straight" or "1 s pause" sounds more natural.
- 03Cut what you do not need.
Use "Cut an audio file" to trim silences or noise at the start and end.
- 04Pick WAV or FLAC to keep editing.
MP3 and M4A are smaller, but every save loses a little.
Common questions
Can I merge different formats?
Yes. An MP3, a WAV and an M4A can go into the same file. Everything comes out in the format you choose.
What does "Smooth" do?
The end of one file fades out while the next one fades in, over 3 seconds, like a DJ transition.
Is there a limit of files?
No fixed limit. Many long files use more memory, so on a phone it is best to stay under an hour in total.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything is joined in your own browser, and the files are not sent to any server.
