Tips for a better result
- 01Start right on the beat.
A ringtone that starts on the chorus is recognized at once.
- 02Keep it around 30 seconds.
That is about how long a call rings before it goes to voicemail.
- 03Use a good-quality file.
The ringtone keeps the quality of the original song.
- 04Even out the volume if needed.
A quiet song can be raised with "Even out the volume" before you start.
Common questions
How do I put it on my iPhone?
Open the M4R file in GarageBand and use Share > Ringtone, or connect the iPhone to a computer and drag the file to it in Finder or iTunes. Then pick it in Settings > Sounds.
How do I put it on Android?
Save the MP3 on the phone, go to Settings > Sound > Ringtone and choose it. On some phones you first move it to the Ringtones folder.
Why 40 seconds at most?
The iPhone does not accept longer ringtones. A call usually rings for about 30 seconds anyway.
Is my song uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your own browser, and the file is not sent to any server.
